Approximately 0630 on Friday, March 8th, Southold Fire Department was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Route 48 close to the Southold/Cutchogue District line.
Arriving members found a black pick-up truck which had skidded of the road and narrowly squeezed itself between several trees. The single male occupant had self extricated and was complaining only of a laceration to his left hand. Transportation was provided for the driver to ELIH for treatment of his injury and the scene was left in control of the Southold Police to complete their investigation of the incident.
