On Thursday, October 18th, members of the Southold Fire Department conducted their annual Fire Prevention Program for students in the Southold schools. In addition to instructions on calling "911," smoke detectors and "stop drop and roll," this year's program featured a very successful fire safety puppet show borrowed from the East Marion Fire Department. All SFD members who participated enjoyed the day every bit as much as the youthful future firefighters, and our thanks go out to East Marion for the use of their equipment.
